The MAMM Awards 2008 for the three short films/teams with the highest total score, sponsored by the Cineworks Independent Filmmakers’ Society, are…



Number-One Film

  • Cineworks Production Membership for the Director, Cinematographer, and Editor or Producer, which includes access to all Cineworks resources and facilities including gear rental, workshops and events at member rates, and access to the Production Fund and Film Pool after one year.
  • Cineworks General Membership for the remaining team members, which includes access to workshops and events at reduced rates.
  • Memberships are non-transferable and must be activated by each individual by March 31, 2009 and will run 12 months from the date activated. More information: Cineworks Memberships
  • Film receives selection and screening at the 12th annual Vancouver Asian Film Festival 2008, November 6 to 9, 2008.
  • Film receives air date on Shaw Multicultural Channel (SMC: cable 109) in 2009.


Number-Two Film

  • Cineworks Workshop Voucher: One for each team member (non-transferable, up to a $250 value on any single listed workshop), anytime up to March 31, 2010. Cineworks offers workshops on production, directing, post-production, creative development and more. More information: Cineworks Workshops
  • Film receives selection and screening at the 12th annual Vancouver Asian Film Festival 2008, November 6 to 9, 2008.
  • Film receives air date on Shaw Multicultural Channel (SMC: cable 109) in 2009.


Number-Three Film

  • Cineworks Discount Voucher on equipment and/or facilities rental: One for each team member (non-transferable, up to $100 value on a single rental package), redeemable up to March 31, 2010. Available digital and film support includes camera, lighting, grip and sound equipment; studio space; and post-production facilities. More information: Cineworks Rentals

All Films

  • All qualifying short films will be shown at a MAMM 2008 premiere screening/awards event, followed by a gala wrap party. More details to come…
