Ever had a great idea for a feature length independent film but never had the time or money? Tetsuro Shigematsu, a filmmaker who has extensive experience in broadcasting, including hosting This Hour Has 22 Minutes, CBC Radio, and as pop culture critic for Newsworld in Los Angeles, will present the VAFF premiere of his film, YELLOW FELLAS, and then share his ideas of how he made this feature length film with a short film’s budget. A Q&A with the director will follow.

Howie Hiroshima is an angry young Asian man who leads a band of Oriental Brothers in a revolution against The White Man. He seeks to avenge the injustices that The Blue Eyed Devil has wreaked upon his people. But soon, the movement takes on a life of its own and comes after Howie himself.
