Program 7: Families And Funny
Sat. Nov. 8th, 3:30 PM
Comedies have always been a hit with audiences in film and TV. And some up and coming filmmakers pay tribute to family and the comedy within. Cultural misunderstandings are given humourous portrayals in both SMILE and SOUVENIRS FROM ASIA. A girl looks for love in the musical DAMN THE PAST! and ROCK GARDEN, A LOVE STORY is a comedic yet unconventional love story. COOKIES FOR SALE is a black comedy standoff between a grumpy neighbor and a very clever girl scout. In TOUCH, a lonely seamstress’ only companion is somebody lifeless. Finally, KU KLUX KORNEA mocks the “you all look alike” stereotype in a humorous office setting.
