Asian Male Libido

Sat. Nov. 3rd, 9:45 PM

Who says men’s taste in movies is only restricted to just gunfire, explosions, and robots that turn into things? The conflicts and struggles of keeping and starting a relationship, and finding that special someone can also be seen through the male perspective. Asian independent cinema is breaking into this amusing yet relatable genre as well. BRAINFART reveals the conflicting thoughts within a man’s head before he makes his approach. Then Sammy finds out, in MOUSE, A LOVE STORY, how much he really has in common with the other half, with hilarious results! SHANGHAI KISS follows a lonely young man as he jumps back and forth between continents to finally find out where and to whom he truly belongs.

An out-of-work Chinese American actor moves to the exotic city of Shanghai, China to connect with his ancestry and pursue a new romance, but he must leave behind the only girl who has ever truly loved him. Ken Leung, Kelly Hu and Hayden Panettiere (NBC’s HEROES) star in this infectious, laugh-filled romantic film. SHANGHAI KISS is the story of Liam (Leung), a struggling Chinese-American actor in Los Angeles who meets a pretty high school girl named Adelaide (Panettiere) and develops a strong friendship. However, when things get too tough in L.A., he takes the opportunity to move to Shanghai – but he can’t seem to forget Adelaide. Full of deep feelings and high spirits, SHANGHAI KISS also stars a great ensemble cast including Joel David Moore (HATCHET) and James Hong (BALLS OF FURY).
